There's not a tech forum so not sure where to post this. Hope moderators read this page. All morning long I've been having trouble getting back into the forum. Takes a bunch of tries. I get the redirecting message and get into the forum but NOT logged in (show up as guest) . I don't know if it's just me or what. Obviously I got in eventually but thought you might like to know in case it's not just me. Cait

I had that problem for quite a while when posting from the office....could be a firewall thing...then it just went away and now it remembers to log me in automatically.

Sometimes Firefox updates itself and "restarts" when you shut it down or reboot your pc. when that happens I have to log back in.
Try updating your browser and OS too.
    Might be buggy.

This may be a cache issue or cookie issue on your computer.

First, try to login to the forum and choose the "Remember Me" function. See if that works.

    If that does not work:
Please re-start/reboot your computer. please do that first and attempt to login.

    If that does not work:
Please close all of your web browsers, remove all of your temporary Internet files and cache (refer to your web browser documentation or search engine if you are not sure how).

Once the temp files are completely cleared, then restart/reboot your computer and try again.

If you tried that and it does not work, then you should address it as a cookie issue.

If it is a cookie issue, chances are that your cookie(s) is corrupt for the forum or that you have security too tight and blocking the cookie.

Make sure that you are not blocking cookies via your browser security settings or Norton/Mcafee or similar package.

You should delete your cookie for halloweenforum.com
That SHOULD work if you are not running other software that can interfere.

    Thanks,
    Larry

I had this exact problem logging in today. I checked the remember me box and it worked fine with one additional problem posting (I think it said something about security token??? I just went back and resubmitted). I'm not sure what's caused it because normally I'm on here quickly without a problem.

The security token error is normally if you have a browser open to the same page for a while, then click on an action.

What happens is that your session expires and then it considers your new action as a different session. In other words, if you do not click for 15+ minutes, you normally have to click on something to view again before you can post or search.

This seems to happen more with Firefox as it uses browser cache differently.

Thanks everyone. I expected a couple responses. Wow.
Funny though. The problem seems to have vanished as fast as it oocurred. But I'm going to check the remember me box anyway so it doesn't come back hopefully. Cait
