I was in Wal-Mart today, and they just started getting a few Halloween things out! Not even started with costumes yet, but there were three solid rows of party decorations and scary decorations. Of course, only about 1/3 or less was out so far. They had a flickering candelabra for only $14, a changing portrait with sound and light-up eyes for only $10, Gemmy caged reapers with sound and light-up eyes, Gemmy fog machines, lights, lit ghost shapes and pumpkin shapes, and a few other things.

It appears they may be a great place to get some awesome stuff this year! I can't wait until they get all of it out!

I saw the same pic frame with light eyes last night too at Walmart.. 20$ here in Canada!!!!!!!!!!! Walmart can go (BEEP) themself with their exchange rates! Dollar USA and Canadian dollar, less than 5 cents difference!!! I'll go shopping somewhere else, thank you!

I thought I read on here somewhere that Walmart wasn't going to put out props and instead run all these through their website with store-to-store delivery or shipping to your house. I've held off going into Walmart since no one has posted much about them but may give it a week and check in to the larger store in my area just to see what they have. I'm sure my little local one will have limited selection anyway.

I too was impressed with the selection! I also thought the masks were very detailed for the price! Good stuff! I can't wait for my store to be fully stocked. This looks like it may be the best halloween selection Walmart's offered!

my guess is it is not the exchange rate it is the china importation fees that canadian retailers have to pay ....if it is marked made in china on a box and your crossing the canadian border with it you have taxes AND inportation fees to pay on each box or items , yep i learned about that little detail last weekend going to the usa shopping , did you know that pretty much everything is made in china LOL well the custom agent said we wore honnest enough to declare all our purchases he skiped the inportation fees on us .....i hope next time i go shoping across the border i get the same agent when i return lol.... but i agree with you i honnestly think a large chain store like walmart can do better prices in their canadian stores .

Kmart has those same pictures for $15, so WalMart is a better deal--no difference in the pix, frame, or saying, at all. I was pretty impressed with what little our WalMart had out today. I didn't buy anything, but it's better than last year's stuff, for sure.

osenator i figured 35$ worth of gas to drive up there still saves me alot even if i have taxes wich are not so bad , when i have a few expensive things to buy , and i save tons of $ on shipping (and brokerage fees when shiped ups from the usa) i can double my purchases for halloween driving to the usa or even Ottawa to get my props , yes takes 3 hour drive but makes a nice shopping day

walmart in quebec province is pitifull no life size props , none , zero, nana ! why dont we get some life size props i have no idea .....espacially since we cannot also order from walmart.com and walmart.ca as nothing much ....i am gonna try and go see if they loaded the isles this week as last week they wore all empy and ready to get filled with halloween stuff .
