We haven't seen one in a few years but one is opening (supposedly tomorrow) in a nearby plaza. The front window display was done and it had a lot of nice higher end animatronics. Hoping the rest of the store is as impressive. How are they on prices compared to Spirit, and other places?

Similar in look and in pricing. They might have slightly better prices than Spirit, but Spirit has the "exclusive" stuff.
I love them, tho.
I've found some really weird stuff at Express stores. Also, ask for any coupons they have if you go in after they just open - they usually have 10% off coupon postcards for the beginning of their season.

I have 2 near me, and visited them both yesterday. While the prices are better than Spirit, the selection they offered on decor, props, etc. was limited. They do offer a large variety of costumes and accessories though. I recommend visiting their website where you can an array of different Halloween goodies at a reasonable price.

Expresess are typical in price. What you'll save on is having no shipping, which can be VERY substantial these days when buying online. That's why it's worth it to hang in there and buy the general stuff from a brick and mortar. But when you have a lot of stuff already, they're really good for just restocking. A fog machine or two. Fog juice. This or that. When you have almost nothing, there's tons to buy there. When you have almost all of it, the pickins become slimmer. Expresses are also usually in smaller stores, so there's less merchandise too. Express, USA, Village, Spirit- these places are a gold mine in bargans though, sometimes as early as the week before halloween, and certainly the day of and the day after. A smart, tenacious shopper will save literally hundreds and hundreds of dollars. Good luck!

Stopped by ours last evening and again today. They are still setting up and the clerk said they have a lot of stuff still coming in. They have the rocking granny, and several other larger props. Lots of costumes and masks but not to much yet in the prop department so hoping they get more. Prices are so so. I'll be checking back. Our Spirit still isn;t open.
