    Question:

Since this is my first year creating a major haunt that has props I have spent a lot of time and effort on, does anyone out there do anything about security for your haunts? Do you take all the major stuff in at night? Hire "body-less guards"? What ideas and problems have you discovered making sure your ghouls don't grow wings and fly away?

we wire everything down. and make the wire obvious, so if some one wants to steal something they know they have to go thru a bit of trouble. Ive learned my lesson tho, I bring my heads of dummys in at night. the bodies of my dummies are just usually rebar and pool noodles, so they cant really do much with that. also if the dummies are just wearing really ugly clothes from goodwill, nobody usually wants to steal them. in my opinion anyways.

Im doing inside the garage thing with the best stuff. My garage opens in the back so my best graveyard stuff is going in a chained yard. The front graveyard will be the stuff I wont care so much about if stolen, damaged. So if you do a garage thing, have someone be the "watcher" and keep an out out for anyone grabbing stuff off your displays. Im also marking everything with my initials so if someone goes by and were like "hey thats ours give it back" and they say its theirs, I can point at the area where my initials or address is and say Ill call the police if they dont hand it over, and that all my stuff is tagged this way.

Try getting the motion sensor alarms from Harbor Freight. They cost around $20 and work great, even at night!

I have one. I live on a dead end road and cars were being broken into. I was able to catch the perps in action and had them arrested!

At the time I bought mine it was $14. The perps were slick and the police were unable to catch them. The police thanked me. I keep smiling when I think about how a $14 alarm ended their careers!!!

I plan on getting a couple more to protect my stuff.
