Whats your favorite thing you've inherited for halloween and why is it so special?

Mine is a little ghost house my mom finally parted with last year. It was my grandmas before her. Theres a little ghost outside dancing on a pond. I dont think its terribly old or worth much but everytime I hear its music play (fur elise) and the lights flash in the haunted tree, I instantly feel a cool breeze and it seems as though ill need help to see it over the counter top. Its like a time-warp to halloween 1989 for me...

My favorite item I haven't gotten yet but that's because I still live with it's current owners, my parents. :/

It's a gorgous painting of a pumpkin on a rustic old table. It doesn't sound like much but it's my favorite painting that we have and my mother promised me that I can have it once I move out. Hopefully next year it will be mine!

I guess I won't get any hand-me-downs unless they come from friends, or my sister. I was hoping to find all of our old Beistle decorations when we cleaned out my mom's house this summer...none to be found, guess she threw them out at some point (along with the items I'd bought for her when I moved out, because she said "the kids" would be so disappointed that I wasn't going to decorate her house anymore). I don't think she really decorates for Halloween anymore, so she probably won't be picking up anything "new" for her apartment, either.

Awe Lair mistress thats too bad. You can always find vintage stuff on ebay too. Maybe you could get the ones your mom had. I have a set of vintage cake/ cupcake decorating stuff from my grandma too. The old pumpkins and black cats have such a spooky feel.

I dont have such a thing. Oh well.

No hand-me-downs here....I'm the only Halloween freak that's ever been in my family...but I guarantee I'll have plenty to hand down to my kiddos...who are my son, 17 and my daughter, 13, and they're both chickenshits.....sheesh.....who here wants to be in my will?? lol

Lol my son 6 has already claimed my living dead dolls collection, except the alice in wonderland set. The daughter wants that. They divy up everything "can I have this someday...can i have that one?" I think of someday and see the amusement in their eyes at the props...so yeah...if any of you come by my house this year and there's a "duct taped mommy" prop outside help me out. They have generations of stuff coming. just not yet ...lol

I just brought home my Halloween Decorations this weekend that were from 20 to 30 yrs ago! They were in my parents attic. I scored all my Beistle decorations and a few other classics like my battery powered witch and my orange and black honeycomb balls.

I think they switched out my REAL kids at birth...I have imposters....i WISH they would divy up my Halloween stuff.....all I get is "Mom?? Really?? More clowns???" and "I swear, we live in the creepiest house!".....some peoples kids!
