OK, here is the deal, we are doing a disturbed take on classic childrens stories and fairy tales this year but I am having a terrible time coming up with a suitable twist on the "and they lived happily ever after" ending.

I am really hoping some of the tortured souls here can toss in their ideas.

Which fairy tales do you have in mind? The original stories are usually quite violent/dark, not the glittery Disney stuff we're all used to.

"...And their souls were tortured terribly ever after!" [insert evil laugh here]

Hee hee... ok, kinda lame. I couldn't resist.

This is what we are planning:
Hansel and Gretel stuffed in an oven with the crone opening and closing the door.
The three little pigs impaled on a spit over a crackling fire.
A dessicated Rapunzel still stuck in her tower.
Goldilocks' remains on a silver serving tray on the table with the diffrent sized chairs (the smallest chair duct taped back together of course).
Little Red Riding Hood being devoured by the wolf in her grannies bedroom.
Little Miss Muffet all wrapped in spider silk and hanging from a web.

Plus a couple other ideas we are still tossing around.

What I would like to do is make a large scroll like banner and hang it on my garage door with a witty slogan based on the happily ever after statement and here is where my ideas have hit the wall.

I also needs to be atleast PG rated due to the kiddies that we get at our place.

Probably not helpful at all...but they didn't live, they died in these scenes, so is "THE END" not creative?

Have you seen the line of costumes called " Unhappily ever after"? I'm making my cousin's costumes this year and we have , Lil Dead ridding hood with the wolfs head in a basket, Tinkerbell from hell, Prince Alarming, and Snow fright. But I really wanted to make a Malice in Wonderland. Hope that helps, they might be inspiring

I think 'unhappily ever after' works well.
