I'd ground my son also, just to show my compassion for ya. However, on second thought he might just put me in a home! Sorry, I have to pick my battles carefully!

I would have put him in the back yard with a brand new blucky, some gauze, cotton balls, glue and a couple of paint brushes and tell him he can't come back inside until it is properly corpsed.

You did the right thing grounding him. Now you should get out your prop to do list and give him two weeks of hard labor and get him building.

I know of a punishment you might like involving dry ice, duck tape and a case of very bad brain freaze if your interested.

Oh boy I can't believe it is almost here.

Actually, he loves Halloween as much as I do and this will be his second year of helping with the haunt. He has already told me he wants a heavy hand in decorating the back patio scene which will be our crazed doctor behind caged walls performing some "experiments"! He also goes into a bit of a funk when it's all over so I think we was just looking forward to it getting here but not being all over.
