When does everyone start setting up their haunted "yards"? I was thinking I was going to start setting up at the end of September, but I want to do it a little earlier. When is it TOO early to set-up halloween stuff?

My sister keeps up a full blown christmas set up all year. I used to do the same with halloween (slightly less on the outside). after all its my house. my friends know im weird lol. Now though...We wait until Oct. 1. Air Force captains have to maintain a certain 'image'. The inside is decorated already

Normally put a few things out around the first week; fence, columns, a few tombstones and our "balcony witch." Another local haunter (and member here) Motel Sixx, has already started setting up his cemetery!

This year I'll start outside on Sept 30.
I have a few days off from work .
That gives me 4 days to get the outside done.
I might do the inside the weekend before, and then tweek everything all through October.Wyatt Furr

I don't start on the outside before Oct. 1st and then I don't do everything all at once. I think it's more effective if there is a slow build up to the big night so I keep adding things a little at a time all month. Plus, the less time my stuff spends out in the elements, the longer it will last without having to do repairs and touch ups. Inside, I've already got my spooky town villages up and have for a few weeks. I'll probably start the rest during the next couple of weeks.
