Blood Manor is supposed to be excellent. I've heard good things about Nightmares: Superstitions, too. Both cost $30 advance, $35 at the door. Nightmares is adding a second haunt for the price, but Blood Manor has been there longer.
For a cheaper experience, the Ghosts of New York Walking Tours are very good. I did the Poe tour before and had a great time. You'd be able to see the Poe and Stuyvesant tours for $33, or do either for $20 advanced/$25 at the tour.

Do NOT miss the Bayville experience! Tons of amazing haunts. Bayville is on long island, but that's not far from the city- within 45 minutes I would think. Totally doable and a must do, really.
This firehouse walk through is amazing. I LOVED this place when I went some years ago.

This of course is the scream park. High end haunts-

Check the schedules and have at it. You will not be dissapointed!

Btw- looking at the schedule the scream park will be open to you! It is likely the firehouse will be too, so plan on being in THAT town one day. Lucky you!
