Yea last year was the same, ONE end cap. Christmas takes over about three-four isles. Halloween isn't very popular there. I wonder after Halloween if stuff is on sale.

none of our local stores have jack, not worth the gas to even go look around
it's a shame, all stores had something good, now it's just silly mask with the rubber bands for a 3 year old

Same here at our Lowe's. Christmas always beats out Halloween here. I think alot of it is that Christmas is more widely celebrated. And winter is very hard on outdoor decorations. So people have to replace them every year. I don't know about you all but I have some Halloween decorations that are over 15 years old. Can't say the same for too many Christmas decorations other than a few ornaments. The wife changes the colors on the tree every few years. If you look at Christmas decorations, they have a new trendy color scheme every year. Halloween colors don't follow a trend. It's all about what sells.

Lowes is great for Halloween....I dropped $30 on pvc today and will probably drop another $30 there tomorrow....also grabbed a vise that I've wanted for a while and a couple of green fence stakes...

will go back for 2x4s and black plastic at the end of the month. Halloween wouldn't exist without Lowes...or Homedepot.

When you think about it, for a big box home improvement store to even carry Halloween decor is pretty good. They never have a big selection but they get a few cool things every now and then. Ours has the witch on the broom and the butler. I agree that I spend more money there on stuff like pvc, lumber, screws, etc.... That's the stuff Halloween is made of!

Rhoda Broom is cool except for the explosion on her hat! My Lowe's had the same little end cap, and many of the slots for products were empty. I did get the Shaking Head, though!

My local Lowe's sets up their entire indoor garden center for Christmas, so it would really be cool to see them do the same for Halloween!

Personally, I'm still angling for one of the 15' inflatable pumpkin coaches. You know, the one with face on the side, all malicious grin and red eyes. The had them on QVC or HSN, but just in case, I went to my local Lowes' where they had a display similar to this:

These aren't quite what I had in mind, they're only about 8' long, primarily because the horse is the 'rearing up' position. But I nevertheless went and hid the 3 that they had in various locations around the store.

That way if I don't get the 'deluxe' version, I can always get the other one after they mark it down 50-75%...

I'm at that awkward stage in life... Somewhere between 'Annoying Fanboy' ...and 'Dirty Old Man'...

I am actually glad to see Lowes doing more then just the normal blow up inflatables and few lights. This is a positive sign that Halloween awareness grows! My local lowes dont have any items out yet. maybe after the holiday weekend i suppose. Thanks for sharing the pics though! I love that flickering Candelabra!

Here is also a few How-to instructions at Lowe's website below:

    Stones

    Entry Fence

    Giant Webs

    Creepy curtains

A Halloween prop is a terrible thing to waste..

"The Many Faces of Fear!" New for 2012!

Their tombstones have silver glitter on them. i love shiny glittery things, but not on Halloween! Do not want!
