How did they do this? Any idea on the material used for the webbing? LOVE this effect! Thanks in advance!

    IDK but it look fantastic
Maybe industrial sized webs and gigantic plush spiders, the ones that feel like velvet?

    Anyone else wanna chime in?

Do you think it might be tulle? That seems awfully expensive considering the amount, but that's what it looks like to me over the doorway, and in the right foreground. I don't see any "holes" like you'd get with stretch webbing, it all looks uniformly "stretched".

I don't know but that is FANTASTIC!! Geez, I have a hard enough time trying to work with that dollar store webbing!!
As I was going up the stair, I saw a man that wasn't there.
He wasn't there again today...Oh how I wish he'd go away.

Had to be very strong to support a very heavy spider I made , so I used 1/4 inch steel cables then wrapped them with masking tape so they could be seen and yet not look like steel cable.
This building looks so fantastic doesn't it!
My big spider also had a mummfied body stuck in the web, the body of the housekeeper along with her upright vacuum cleaner, which made a racket-noise when I pushed the secret button.
I had been given the old vacuum because it made such a nasty noise, perfect for this use, then after maybe 4 years of continous use, it quit making the horrific sounds and ran normally!? "Oh no!"
Forced to disassemble it to learn it's loud, obnoxious secret ......shelled corn, that's all that was in there all this time making such a startling loud, strange noise.
Replace with new corn away we go!

Honestly I think it is that webbing that is kinda thick feeling... the one that is real hard to spread. I think they just pulled it into large strands and didnt spread it out. JMO

I wouldn't say it's impossible to acheive this look using the store bought webs, it would just take a lot of them. The only other thing I can think of is if maybe they figured out how to make their own spider web batting (does anybody know what material that stuff is made of??). Here's another giant spider web, it was made entirely out of packaging tape for a German design fair.

My guess it's stretch wrap. The same stuff you would see materials secured to pallets with.
