    Oh boy...

(here is the article, want to make me cry!)

From left: Lady Gaga, an Avatar and Snookie are among the costumes being sold for Halloween.

Here's the situation: Halloween costume season starts today

Expect to run into a Situation or two when making those Halloween rounds this year.

Newly licensed "Jersey Shore" getups are expected to be popular this Halloween, Chicago costume shop owners say, as the wigs and costumes to try to imitate Mike "The Situation" Sorrentino, D.J. Pauly D and others in the cast of the MTV reality series hit the stores.

Not for costume shops. Chicago Costume will be opening four seasonal shops today. The company will have a total of 10 locations.

In addition to "Jersey Shore" costumes, Lady Gaga outfits are also expected to be hot, shop owners say.

A wig that spoofs former Illinois Gov. Rod Blagojevich's full head of hair is also generating a lot of interest, they say.

Hollywood releases are influencing our dressup options, too, with characters available from ''Avatar,'' ''Alice in Wonderland'' and ''Ironman,'' said Amie Villegas of Fantasy Costumes.

I'm confused - why do you want to cry? Maybe I missed something but I didn't read anything I found upsetting. Pop culture always has a huge influence on Halloween costumes.

I understand. I was just looking over Walmart's selection of Halloween stuff and saw like three Lady Gaga costumes...I wanted to stab myself in the leg. I get that you know...annoying girls need something to dress up as...let's just be happy it's not the traditional wh*re-ish outfits.

there is no accounting for taste. but hell at least they are selling costumes i guess. the ones that annoyed me were the hottie ones targeting little girls. a 10 yr old does not need to dress as a hot witch, or sexy gypsy...

    I second LadyAlthea's comment.

Heck, if I was as skinny as Lady Gaga I'd probably dress up like her - LOL!!!! Now, the Snookie costume - oh please, that is just WRONG in so many ways.....
    Is it Halloween yet?

    That would be interesting.

I totally agree about the other costumes. I mean, come on! Who really wants to dress up like those two? I've never watched Jersey Shore and refuse to ever watch it. It's just a waste of time. There's something about Lady GaGa I just don't like. Maybe it's her crazy hairstyles or her freaky clothes.

It makes me sad to see them making those "sexy" costumes for children. I don't have any kids, but if I did I'd never let them wear something like that.

I could not agree more!!! I wish they would quit selling those, or actually, I wish the parents or whoever would not buy them.

I'm not suprised Avatar and Alice are big costumes this year because the movies were huge hits. Jersey shore, while I have never actually seen an episode makes no sense to me as a costume... Lady gaga might work though some of the outfits i've seen her in are a skoach on the scary side.
