I know some of you (well, probably most of you!) have a garage full of Halloween props, decor, costumes, etc. But I only have a Halloween closet! Well, it's a pretty full closet....it's bursting at the seams actually!
I just wanted to share the thrill I get in finally delving deep into that closet and pulling out all my Halloween goodies. I start the morning of October 1st and I pull out everything, and I mean EVERYTHING! Just to look at it, even if I know I won't be using it that year. I think every time I "rediscover" things, I forgot I had. It's so much fun!
Anyone else go through this when they pull out the H-ween goodies?

I was in my closet this afternoon looking through all that I have bought so far this year. I can't wait to get into the shed in the back yard and get all my tubs out and go through it. It has been so hot here for weeks and I just don't have the heart to dig around in the heat. However, I have to get things pulled out. I bought a lot of stuff on 90% clearance the morning after Halloween last year and I didn't make a list. I don't have any idea what I bought!!!!

I was digging in my closet for some throw blankets the other day and felt a little critter crawl across the back of my hand... It was a nice little spider that was hiding in our storage under our stairs. Glad it was not a poisonous type! But was an hair raising closet experience none the less..
A Halloween prop is a terrible thing to waste..

I'll actually be going through all my props on Thursday as I want to thin some out for other props. Can't wait to rediscover what I have!

I love it too - that first rush of excitement at bringing everything out. Usually start this weekend (Labor Day) or just after the Pumpkin Fest with fall stuff upstairs, then start bringing out the more 'hardcore' items from the basement. Get my Lemax Halloween Village set up first, then most of the rest. Can't wait!

I've got much more Halloween than Christmas stuff. I love getting the Halloween stuff out the kids love looking through the boxes.
I don't get the same pleasure when it comes to Christmas decorations, I just tend to throw the tree in the corner and shove on a few baubles. I decided there's no point it making it look nice as the cats destroy it in less than a day anyway. My Mum spends about 5 hours on here tree, it's symmetrical I think she uses a spirit level.

Oh yeah! I can't wait to get everything down from the attic and go through it. My son is moving out next week, so I will use his old room to really spread out and go through stuff. I'm going to sort it and have a yard sale in Oct. to get rid of some of the stuff I don't use anymore. (To make room for new stuff of course!)

I can't wait to go through my stuff. I'm actually at work right now, wishing it was Friday at 4:30 so it could be my 3 day weekend. The weekend of GREATNESS. I'm taking out my decorations, going through them, taking inventory, and deciding what else I need to buy
AND starting on my props
