Okay- we moved into new military base housing. And it's awfully bland.
No scary tree branches - No trees! No bushes for ghosties to hide behind. No Autumn leaves scattering in the wind. No atmosphere!!!
Where am I going to put all my lights? I usually put masses of them on the bushes and in the trees we USED to have. I don't have a porch, porch railings, columns or anything.
Any ideas?

only idea that comes to mind is move someplace cool.

or make your own spooky trees from pvc and chicken wire. or use flood lights on props. maybe set up tombstones. You should post a picture of what it looks like.halloween is a super cool holiday.

We do floodlights for the cemetery. Guess I might need more!

You could build a fascade of some type and create an budget cemetary fence with gravestones and a few fog machines. You have the lighting already so that would be a cool start to a new home! Best of luck to ya!
A Halloween prop is a terrible thing to waste..

You could drive around town looking for a yard that has trimmed its trees and left some tall limbs at the curb. (Ones large enough to pass as small trees or bushes.) Just dig small holes in your yard and stick 'em in.
Then put your light on them.
Pandora does this in her graveyard at it looks awesome!

Our front yard has no trees in it either, but last time we were able to create trees by hammering some rebar support posts into the ground and attaching large tree limbs to them using zip ties at different points along the "trunk" so that there was no give from the support posts. They actually held up really well, even in the stiff wind we experienced on Halloween night!

I made my own scary trees last year.I found some branches and stuck them on a caldron and hung lights on them. You can put these any place and the branches can be found any place for free. If it helps I have some pictures on my profile.

ahhh yes,San Angelo, been there before,Thank god it was only for 6 months...
you can go to a wooded lot and get big tree branches and put them in the ground or stop at lowes or home depot, sometimes at the end of the season, they throw away trees that didn't sell due to dyeing,to make an old fence,go to the state store(if that's what they still call the liquior store on base)get the pallets they throw out."Forget the ghosts . . . beware of me!"

Wire & mache trees if you have a lot of time... If you use your lights in a scene perhaps some grunged up crates draped in cheesecloth or other items that can be stacked... a cemetery fence can be made any height you would like...
