My friend and I are about to acquire a hearse thanks to a very generous friend. We are planning on dressing up and driving around town scaring people during the month of October. Has anyone here with a hearse done that? If so can that be illegal?

I wouldn't do the driving around and scaring random people. You most definitely could be ticketed for creating a public disturbance and at worse be arrested if you cause an accident or the like. Or sued.

In the right context - like at a Halloween event where folks expect scares - sure, but just out in the public you would be considered the same as anyone harassing or otherwise causing a problem.

We have done a car full of people dressed as zombies and went to a gas station at 3 in the morning. However it is illegal to drive with masks on, or so some people have told me.
We stopped checking for monsters under our beds when we realized they were inside of us

oh i would love love love to have a hearse, its always been my dream car but i would just drive it on a daily basis to work and just around. as long as its street legal and registered and you are following the laws there is nothing wrong or illegal about driving one but they do catch a lot of attention =) have fun with it, im so jealous! lol

I see your point about driving around with a mask FG. I think we might get away with that on Halloween weekend. There's a part around town here that gets crazy full with people dressed up every year. We are going to do something because it's our nature , but we will be thinking safety first. I'm hoping to YouTube something for the gang here.

My dad has a hearse, drives it to work, etc... I usually have it in my driveway for the month of October.. People either are freaked out, or think it's cool.. The reactions people have just seeing the car driving around (my dad is in his street clothes) is pretty funny!!
