We are not allowed to decorate for Halloween at all. We can only put up non offensive fall decorations. Maybe a pumpkin, but nothing scary, not spiders skeletons or witches, because someone might be offended. Yeah, ME! Because you won't let me decorate! Oh and Christmas is like winter holiday season or whatever PC term they use now.

Life is too short to not do what makes us happy, keeps us sane, or both.

So focus on your home decorating. A lot of workplaces now regulate what can be displayed. not much you can do but play by their rules. I work at a large urban hospital and they have strict guidelines as to what can be put out for holidays, etc..

Just another sign of ignorance on what the holiday really is. And it's not PC to bow down in the guise of not offending christians who in their ferver claim it's anti-religious.

Halloween is one of the LEAST religious holidays we observe... heck even St. Patricks Day is about a saint... on yeah and getting drunk.
What doesn't kill you can still make you walk funny.

That is just PC overboard. So does your work give you Christmas day off? Are they afraid that will offend someone? As a country we have become way to sensitive about things. Trying not to offend is fine, but this is just stupid.

Don't blame it on the Christians...this is about the anal not get alongers...

They attack Halloween, they attack Christmas, they attack prayer in school, they attack crosses on the roadside, they attack gays, they attack blacks, they attack republicans, they attack democrats, they attack common sense....in general they just attack rather than trying to accept others, yet we are supposed to accept them.

    Funny how that works....aint it

The whole PC thing is getting so old and annoying. My only hope is that it will eventually go away. By trying not to offend, it offends me.

Unfortunately it is these large groups aka religions or political parties that tend to attract the "not get alongers". That sort tends to hide in national organizations and from there spread their annoying trouble. The most vocal haters can be found in one organization or another, many of them religiously based, be that religion Christian, Muslim or whatever. The really annoying thing is that it is just a very small fringe percentage making all the noise, and we are expected to bend over backwards to appease them.

Scatterbrains thanks for clearing that up a bit.

Yubney Its not Christians that are stopping Halloween I know I am a Christian youth leader and I encourage 100s of Christian kids weekly to enjoy Halloween for all its spooky scary goodness. In fact the only thing as a Christian that offends me is people thinking I am not a lover of the most awesome Halloween. You didnt offend me so dont think Im insulted or anything by your comment. No worries honestly.

Halloween is being choked out by a work force of people who worry that they will be sued if they do not zap out any holiday or celebration that may or may not offend others. Its sad but true...makes me wish I had a time machine to live Halloween as a kid again.
