I just recently bumped an old thread (years old) wherein I asked folks to join me in petitioning Turner broadcasting to return "The Halloween Tree" to the October airwaves.
It got me thinking...
Shouldn't we Halloweenies be demanding far more from our broadcasters? Christmas specials were revived on the Family Channel and all the old Rankin/Bass cartoons can be seen every year now, due to viewer demand. Shouldn't we be making some noise?
Shouldn't your tv be thick with shows in October, shows like;
"Halloween is Grinch Night"
"Mad Monster Party"
"Garfields Halloween Adventure"
"Spooks Night Out"
The first Five Simpsons "Treehouses of Terror"
and dozens of others?
Don't sit there and wish they would show, write a four-six sentence email and send them to Turner broadcasting, Warner Bros., NBC, CBS, Disney/ABC, Fox, whoever!
We are the Largest Halloween community online. We are the source for prop and party research for dozens of business interests.
Lets let them know what we want.
And if you need a library of classic Halloween TV specials to reference, here is the best place online:

I remember when Halloween shows, everything from horror flicks to cartoons, would start on TV Oct. 1, now they just play stuff the week before or the week of & that's it. Not including channels like FearNet or Chiller, there's not much Halloweeny stuff anymore.
This also reminds me I need to move up Mad Monster Party on my Neflix queue.Roger Clyne & the Peacemakers, the best damn little band you should be listening to!

Funny how they always seem to take away the things that make Halloween fun. It seems that they just side-step Halloween and Thanksgiving and go straight to Christmas. They don't get it that some people enjoy ALL the holidays and the special things that go along with them. Christmas has become so big that the other holidays seem to be lost in the Christmas shuffle!

I don’t expect to see all the Halloween specials I grew up with on TV but I would really like to see Garfield’s Halloween Adventure make a come back. I’ll never understand why this fell out of favor.
You'll have money and all that money can buy.

Well, we do have ABC Family's 13 Nights of Halloween, but other than that, there isn't anything else to my knowledge. Like others said, its usually just the week of Halloween, and not even that. I remember AMC had horror movies all October long, now its just about the week before. Also, the on demand channels no longer have a Halloween section for movies during October. I definatly do agree that we should do something, the only question is, what.
