so whats the feeling you get when it's halloween time? Why do you love halloween? What does it feel like to build fantastic halloween props?

I want everyone to tell me why they LOVE halloween.

for me, it's scaring people. It's the only night i can chase people with a chainsaw and not get arrested. When I build halloween props i feel fantastic like i just accomplished something big.

I'm an addict and can't get enough! Been addicted since I can remember back in the late 70's.
A Halloween prop is a terrible thing to waste..

Memories. Experiences. You can give the kids (and adults) who come to your place on Halloween Night vivid memories that they can keep until they grow very old.

When there are fall leaves burning, and a crisp chill in the air, I immediately get into the Halloween spirit. I love Halloween because trick-or-treators receive some entertainment and scares in my yard, and their reactions are great. When I hear people say they enjoyed it, it makes me want to build it again each year-and make it much better.

I LOVE WALGREENS, TARGET, WAL-MART, MICHAELS, DOLLAR GENERAL, SPIRIT HALLOWEEN, HALLOWEEN CITY, PARTY CITY, JO ANN FABRICS, DOLLAR TREE, K-MART, and, most of all, HALLOWEEN itself!! Only 66 days left!

It's the one day a year when you can truly be what you are, or what you want to be, without regard to most social conventions.

I try to keep this in mind too each year when I'm decorating and when I'm planning what I'll give out. I want the kids who come to my door to be as happy and excited and spooked and thrilled as I was when I was little!

Because every day of the year, we're supposed to be afraid.

Afraid of the economy, other countries, the other political party, cultural influences, the enviroment, criminals and terrorists, disease, food production, products and appliances, vehicles, our education, our technological advances, our future.

And plenty of money and influence can be had by corporations selling your need for their product, leaders scaring you for your support and even society warning you about every nuance in the current century.

We're led around by the nose every moment, told what to fear, what to avoid, what to support and who to blame.

    Except for October the 31st.

On that day our fear is our entertainment, reduced to a cartoonish joke, a colorful prank or a thrilling adventure.
We mock the devil and turn evil into a punchline.
We dance with death and grin back at the sardonic skulls.
We smell the coming winter with it's frost and empty fields and we defy it with candy and comedy.
We take every horror mankind has ever envisioned and distill it down to a wardrobe choice.

    I don't just love Halloween.
I consider it vital to our social health.

I love halloween because of the memories, and because I am morbid and twisted. I also embrace my role as a memory maker for future generations.

My fondest memories as a kid was of Halloween. Furthermore it is the most creative holiday, and my inner artist LOVES it.

Images of Halloween, projects for Halloween, and rants about Halloween, all year long. Halloween is Beautiful.
