Hey, this year we are doing our haunt in our friend's 8 acres of forest!...or something like that

and I just wanted to know, how can we get people to come??

You could....

1) Post free adds on CraigsList.

2) Once you have your set up complete make a teaser video.

3) Post signs on community bullitan boards

4.) Create a Twitter, Facebook and Myspace acount. (all FREE)

5. Make cards or bummer stickers and advertize on your car. (lots of people actually have Biz.Card Holders on the back of there car

6.) Tell your friends to tell there friends.

7.) Call in to your local news stations or newspapers

I'm making signs and posting them in the entrance and exit areas of my neighborhood.

Scare the poop out of them one year.Word will spread.

Craigslist is a good bet nowadays. Set up at least a basic website so people can find information about it. Message everyone you know on Facebook to build up interest in the haunt. Post flyers (do them up nice on the computer) everywhere you legally can. If you have a chain Halloween store pop up, see if they'll let you leave some flyers at the register or post your sign in the window.

I make up about 40-50 fliers and put them in those page protectors and put them on stop signs around elementary & middle schools in the area about a week before Halloween. I live on a horseshoe street, you would think there was a parade on my street after I put up the signs. I always have a few things to take care of in my front yard, when they drive by they will wave, roll down their window to talk to me and some will get out of their car to get a closer look. I am sure they are wondering what kind of pervert put up the signs around a school trying to lure kids. No pervert just a middle aged woman who loves Halloween. This will be my third year doing my haunt, the first year I made up 135 gift bags last year I made 240 gift bags that were gone by 8:30 or so. I like to make the gift bags with little toys and candy for a couple reasons 1) the TOT's will feel like they got something special and hopefully remember 2) so I can kind of keep track of how many TOT's I had. This year I will have a bonus I bought 400 4" glow sticks for dirt cheap on www.buycostumes.com they were $3.95 for a box of 50.
