We are thinking about doing our usual "Circus Trapezium" again this year, but in a forest.

    What do you think?
Would that be a good theme in a deep dark forest? Or what other theme would be good??

    Thanks!

Haunted forrests are always cool. A buddy of mine did one a few years back so you can do like he did. He did the whole thing with woodland critters. Fearies, gobblins, trolls, ents, hobs, brownies, etc.

If you can find the book called "Arthur Spiderwick's Field Guide to the Fantastical World Around You" It would be a great help.

    Hope this helps,
    Marc V.

Somewhere, in the props threads I believe, someone had made a kind of woodland witch. Covered a styrofoam head with mulch/woodchips. Used some kind of moss for her hair. It looked great!

I'm doing a carnival theme in a very wooded area that becomes twisted fairy tales (yes, I am crazy and joinging the two themes and it is working!) so I think you could do a circus in a forest if you wanted to.

okay thanks! I'm just trying to make sure that the twisted carnival in the woods would be a hit, or at least climb on the freaky factor !

I would attend what a wonderful idea!

Great idea of putting it in a haunted forest, there is so many different things that can be added in the trees... Is that the same book as related to the movie 'Spiderwick Chronicles'???? If yes, it was a very good movie even though it was geared to kids.
Hello, I want my book. Bonjour, je veux mon livre.

I love making haunted forest trails. To start off, who isn't a little spooked in the woods in the dark? It's naturally scary to most people.

Ok, I was working on my trail a few years ago. I have about 7 acres behind my house. It was about 11pm at night and I was walking along the trail trying to observe the naturally spooky looking areas under the moonlight. I had a flashlight but didn't have it on the whole time. I came to a spot that was particularly shadowy and I was literally thinking, "If the devil was out here in the woods... this is the place he'd hang out waiting for me." All of a sudden, I catch movement to my right out of the corner of my eye. I swing the flashlight around and standing less than 10 feet away are RED GLOWING EYES and they are at MY EYE HEIGHT: about 5'9". Luckily, I'm a healthy person otherwise it could have been heart attack time: goodbye everybody, nice being here. I then see about 6 other sets of red glowing eyes shining back my flashlight light. It was a small herd of deer and after a few seconds of hesitation they all ran.

Whooo! A moment I will never forget my entire life. Just thought I'd share.

P.S. This is my first post here so HI everyone.
