Thread: All out yard haunt, but not wearing a costume.

I'm sure I will get some flak for this from some diehard members on here. I am going all out doing a yard haunt this year, but I have absolutely no ambition to dress up in a costume....so no costume for me. The only thing I would consider wearing would be an oversized stalkaround (that I would build, the current skull from Costco would be awesome) Anyone else do major decorating/haunt, but doesn't wear a costume?

For me its like Theater. I set up the stage in the yard and then the costume is my Charector. Every year my costume matches the haunt and freezing or not I stay in the yard as a moving prop til the last TOT leaves.

I haven't dressed up the past two years...spent the evening hanging out by the street chatting with ToTs and their parents.

Still haven't decided what I'm doing this year.

This year I will be dressing up for Halloween! I have not dressed up in the past.

I don't dress up, I set up my front yard and pass out candy outside on my drive way and talk to the ToT's and parents but I don't dress up. My dad comes over and he dresses up he really loves it. I have some in the past but when the kids were all small dealing with 4 of them and their costumes and what they were bringing to school and doing my yard it was just to much to dress up me as well. So I just worry bout what needs to be done to have an enjoyable night.

This year, no mask for me, I actually want to see what is going on. Makeup for me!

I don't wear a costume (hubby does).

I wear a teeshirt and jeans - although the teeshirt has always been something "in theme" like my Halloween Forum shirt.

I am too busy fixing and resetting stuff and handing out candy to deal with costume malfunctions.

I totally decorate the yard but never wear a costume.
Well, I did one year. It was the Zombie Doctor costume, but without the mask.
I would wear a stalkaround costume also---if I ever get around to building one.

If it can be decorated, I decorate it, including me, both my boys, my wife, and most everyone else who is at my yard haunt.

This is an interesting, and informative, thread. I always wear a costume, but nothing elaborate. A Zombie, the Ghost of Elvis, this year, a Mad Scientist. Something appropriate to the Haunt on that particular year.
