Thread: Are people starting to ask when/what are you going to Haunt?

Last Friday, waiting for the bus to work, 2 ladies were waiting with me, one of them, she is very nice, we get along, the other one, look like axxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx.
The nice one, she say's "So, I was walking the other day my dog, and I stop in front of your house... Can't wait to see what you will have for us this year.".
I reply "will be triple this year of last year.." She smiles "You know, before you came here, nobody ever decorated here..". "Good, I am glad, now, most houses decorates now on our street." I replied back.
Thexxxxxx one, just gave us a look, and turn around, giving us the cold shoulder. We rolled our eyes and laugh. Some people, are just bornxxxxxxx, I think.

I know her!....She's the one who set by herself at dances...She had that look back then too....ZR

We've had a few of our friends ask us what we're doing for this year. I've also been building some grave stones in the garage/driveway and a couple neighbors have stopped by to comment. They know things are in the works.

Not yet. But I'm sure it's a nice feeling to know that your work doesn't go un-noticed!

We're started to run into random people who "know" us...my wife gave birth a month ago and our son's pediatrician has a nurse who told hi to ask if we were doing the haunt (she lives in our neighborhood). A friend's wife has a client who lives in the neighborhood and was teller her that they were getting worried because we usually have at least our fence up by now. And some kids came tot he house the other day selling Entertainment books for school and asking about the haunt, and if they could see the skeleton in the hearse...

It's interesting being a local celebrity.

Last year we made the newspaper so we have had people stop us a couple times a month and ask if we are having our haunt again. Small towns love this stuff and thats why we do it to keep the spirit strong.

My neighbor also has seen me working on a few new props so he has commented that hes looking forward to it. A new neighbor moved on the block and he was warned by my other neighbor to have lots of candy but I dont think he believed we had over 500 tots last year.

Ohhhh yesss! I get stopped in the grocery store and post office by kids and grown ups wanting to know what we will be doing. When I start telling them they usually cover their ears and say something like " Oh god don't tell me I wanna be surprised"!
