If you see any Halloween stores open around you (Spirit Halloween, Halloween Express, Halloween City, Halloween Adventure, etc)

I had never heard of HALLOWEEN CITY until today. We went for lunch and saw that they are renting out space from an old Circuit City location. Their signage said they are "Hiring Now". This will be competition for Spirit Halloween in our area, who has been the dominant specialty store for some time.

Anyway, Halloween City doesn't have a website up yet, just a referral site to the job openings they will have. However by checking out the places where the jobs are you know in which cities they will be opening their stores. Here's a list of the states in case you live in one of them and haven't seen any signage out yet.

Halloween City was Halloween USA. they changed names recently. I dont know why though. I am thinking about putting in application in my area.

Spirit said most stores will be opening between Aug, 30 and Sept, 18.

I've had an interview with Halloween City...I hope I get a job there!

Halloween USA changed their name to Halloween City because Party City is their parent company. This will be my second year working for them (Halloween City), I'll be a store manager this year. They are trying to open most of the stores around Labor Day, but I wouldn't expect most of them to open until closer to the middle of Sept. We are working at setting up stores and getting merchandise in and on the racks. Most associates won't be able to start work until the week of Labor Day, but assistant managers will be hired within the next couple of weeks.
Working there is fun, however............ you can expect it to be mandatory to work on Halloween. If you get hired, try to ask the manager to work you the opening shift, that way you can be done around 4 or so and be home in time for TOTs. We like to have employees who love Halloween, know their merchandise, and have great ideas to help our customers.

okay that makes cents now. when i looked up halloween city in my area it came up with party city. but do you know if halloween city carries all the same things as party city does?

HALLOWEEN EXPRESS is open by me for about 2 weeks now...Gurnee, IL meeting in an old Circuit City...

Aw crap, another store not in my location.

I always can't wait for Halloween city and Spirit to open, they both are only about one mile from my house, and I have another Halloween city right across the street from me.
