Besides actually "setting up" your haunt what do you still have left to do?
Here is my list:
- Build PVC cemetery fence
- Build walls for "maze" part of the haunt
- Create foam facade (including haunted-house style "tower")*
- Builld a scarecrow with a brances, foam skill and paper mache
- Mix some sound effects with Audacity
- Print out some spooky images to put into picture frames
- Scour local stores and buy some random props
- Take some bluckies and make them look better. Perhaps with some paper mache
- Build a foam or wood toe-pincher coffin
Maybe:
- Build a faux fireplace

That is an awesome house. Fits nicely into suburbia during the summer and the perfect Halloween scare shack for Halloween
To answer your question: EVERYTHING arghhh

That house by itself is a prop! You wouldn't even need to decorate if you lived in that!
My list is pretty conservative, and I'm mainly mixing up some props and moth-balling a few for this year to keep it fresh.
Making an obelisk and two other grave monuments.
pvc framework for a live actor scarecrow
2 cage walls for a maniac scene
standing monster figure that will go in a window loking out over the que line
I'm also changing some of my lighting a bit to upgrade the atmosphere.
After this year we're scaling back a bit and eliminating one of the parts of the walkthrough, in order to make it more manageable; easier set-up/tear down. I'm kind of looking forward to that!

I have a ton of stuff to do. I'm building a couple of large props, a ton of small ones, tombstones and coffins. I'm really looking forward to the end result!

Heal...."missed" the bottom rung getting off a short ladder and since I didn't want to tweak my knee again , I reached for a rung on a different ladder that was at 90 degrees to the first as I was falling, and missed...so my arm went between the rungs and I slammed my ear into a rung, and my ribs into another. I didn't fall that far as my my left foot was on the ground when I went over and I hit on my left side but it feels like I got hit with a bat. There's no bruising on the outside but it hurts like hell when I move or try and lift things. Hopefully it's one of those things that requires a couple of downdays and that's it,
Additionally, I have a business trip to Colorado for a week, another week in Washington for my parents 50th anniversary and the Huskers/Huskies game; and a 1/2 marathon to run. And I need to paint a bedroom and bath. I won't go into the actually Halloween related stuff, but those other things are cutting into the calendar

I need to pick up a few new cheap fog machines. We had two go down on Halloween night last year. And, of course, make the rounds to all the local Halloween stores.

I have to pack and move my family 500 miles away first of all. Then find some work in the new place. Fix a few things like radon & asbestos, maybe a lil mold. Patch some major holes and fix a toilet. Paint every room in the house and put insulation in the attic. Then, most importantly, carve some pumpkins and throw some Halloween decorations up! I will be a first time homeowner and I'm so f*@#ing excited I could crap myself! So happy to be moving in before the big day!!!!!
