I always scout around to see the best places to get props, apart from Halloween special Store like Spirit and Party Mart. Do you have some you recommend? (please only major stores we find around Canada).

    My Favorites are

Shoppers Drug Mart (about 30% of my stuff comes from there, mostly always on special)
    and
Canadian Tire (They also have great prices and unique props I only saw there)

others I got good cheap priced stuff from too

Rhona (They had great ground breakers for only 8$!!)
Dollarama (my main supply to build stuff)
Zellers (When it comes on special, then, it's worth it)
Pharmacy Jean Coutu (Got a few cool props there cheap!)
    Micheal (with coupons!)
Walmart (very rarely got anything there, over priced most of the time..)
Value Village (of course, CHEAP FOAM HEADS!)
    Canadian SuperStore (very rarely)
Pharmaplus/Rexal (Got a few cool props there cheap!)

Any other store you recommend in Canada?

I dont know of any canadian stores or halloween retailers but I see many "FeeBay" sellers from the northern states willing to ship to canada quite frequently. Best of luck finding some nearby though!
A Halloween prop is a terrible thing to waste..

It's not a walk in store, but I ordered from a place called "hauned xing" here in BC. The props were cool and well priced shen you consider the duty etc we have to pay to import from the States. I think the website is www.hauntedxing.ca They were really friendly and good to deal with.

I have to agree with you on Shoppers Drug Mart - I love their after Halloween sale 75% off some things. That's always the first place I check out on Nov 1st.

Don't know if you have an Overwaitea or Save-On-Foods - it might be a BC, Alberta chain, but they often have good stuff - full sized props like the gemmy butler and lighting fx etc.

I'm glad you started this thread - it's always great to hear of places in Canada!

Sears always has a small selection of electronic props, i got a nice animated gargoyle last year, but wait til post season you'll get at least 50 % off.
I love Shoppers Drug Mart, Zellers is kind of iffy, Walmart often has good stuff, but not lately, Real Canadian Superstore usually has some rockin' props, I got a full sized chainsaw last year that kills ! Just kidding, it just makes noise but the chain turns too !

Lawtons Drugs (Cutesy, and fancy stuff!)
Bargain Giant (Great Decorations, carry Gemmy, and Danson)
Winners (Great stuff, kind of pricey, but, still great)
    Sears (Pricey, decent stuff)
Zellers (Kind of like a walmart knock-off for decorations)
    Dollarama (AWESOME stuff for cheap)
    Value Village ($3 Foam Heads)
KENT (Good props, lifesize gemmy's, and lots of lights)
Canadian Tire (I know it was already said, but I get awesome stuff there!) *
Shoppers Drug Mart (AWESOME stuff, I got my Lifesize Cauldron Witch there a few years ago on Sale for a little over $100) *

Osenator, does your Rona have anything out yet? Because mine is still bare of Halloween.

I've also checked Giant Tiger for some Halloween finds. I just went today and I saw a spider with light up eyes I might consider getting!
