Was wondering what kind of Halloween attractions everyone has that they either go to every year or have been to at least once before ? I'm very lucky that 2 years ago a guy who used to own a Haunted Attraction moved out to NH and brought the attraction to a place called Mel's which is not even 5 minutes from my house!

The first year he had about 5 attractions, last year he added 2 more and this year I just found out 3 MORE houses were added. To make this even better he is opening Nightmare New England early this year! Opening night is September 24th and you get a special price of $15 a ticket and as long as you have a ticket you can come back any night in the future so you don't have to do all the houses one night. I'll be buying my ticket September 24th because 10 Houses for $15 is a great deal!!

Nightmare New England has only been open 3 years and every year I can't believe the amount of people that go and from where, it's crazy!!

I live in Baltimore, so we usually have a goodly number of attractions. Some open every year and are fairly well known in the region and are reasonably professional, while there are numerous amateurish ones as well. Even so, they are fun.
Its so nice to be insane, no one asks you to explain...

I have the same situation, Jaege. In Dallas there are numereous professional haunted houses that have been around for as long as I can remember (Cutting Edge, The Scaregrounds, Screams), but there are also some really good smaller venues, too (Thrillvania, Boneyard Manor). Then there are always those first timers that pop up. There's really no reason to miss out on a good scare around here for the month of October!

Yep and the Cutting Edge was just named the Worlds Longest Haunt. I have never been, but I go to Screams which is a blasty blast. I love the necroplex and 13th St Morgue was well. All fun places. There are a few in Waco, Houston, and Austin that a pretty darn cool as well. I like going outside the city limits thats were the cool ones are.

I agree. I like the more original, rural ones. The open fields and hay barns really add a special feel that the big, money-making ones just can't offer. Plus, maybe it's just me, but the people who set them up and run them seem much more into it than the workers at, say, Cutting Edge. At least it feels that way.

blackfriday.not sure but I think nightmare newengland is the old spookyworld. I went there years ago when it was on a farm deep in mass. was really really good. But I like the ones that are out doors in the dark and fog. but I also really like draculas castle in salem ma. indoors but great.

I dont know if its good enough, but the only attraction my hubby and i are lucky to check out is the Kings Island's Halloween Haunt. Since my cuzzie is getting married and the wedding will be in Ohio and not in my hometown, we are hoping to check out the Haunted attractions that Akron has to offer. Again Hoping.

Yeah the first year it was just Nightmare New England but then I believe the guy who owns it bought Spooky World and combined it into one place, it really is such a fun time! This year I'll have to take pictures of the attractions and post them on here

Last year the guy who played Michael Myers in Halloween 1 was there and I got him to sign my Halloween poster, now it's framed downstairs
