New Orelans for Halloween? Or Stay home?

I have really been looking forward to decorating my new from porch for Halloween this year, but I've been offered an expense paid trip to New Orleans on Halloween weekend..we would be staying right in the Middle of Bourbon Street. I've been there numerous times but never on Halloween...I always heard it was a blast on Halloween.....Drats, what do I do?

my vote...
you GO!! but you feel appropriately guilty about neglecting your new front porch. I know i would.

You could decorate before you go but take it down when you leave - best of both worlds!

i was there last year on Halloween, even though i must admit i stayed away from bourbon st. (not my cup of tea). New Orleans is phenomenal, but i'm guessing you know that already judging by your screen name

*i thought i might add, i hit The Mortuary haunt when i was there, which was pretty cool, it's held in an old mortuary and in the back and side yard is an actual cemetery http://www.themortuary.net/

GO!GO!GO! I would not pass up a trip to NOLA for any reason but to go for Halloween would be the ultimate! There will be the uptown parade on Saturday and the the big celebration of Halloween on Frenchmen street on Sunday night. Get your costume ready and go have a blast!

you can always leave a bowl of candy with a note that says to please only take 1 piece.

As much as I love Halloween its here every year. A chance to go "all expense paid" on Halloween there is a must. That will not happen every year for you. Yep party before then Head to the Party there. If you go have a blast and don't look back
