I have y plan and place and am starting to build the maze.

I am thinking about safety as well. There is a sprinkler system overhead and I am not planning to have anything over the top of the scenes or mazes. There are a few of those lights that come on when power goes out and exit signs.

My question is if they are in the maze, they probably can;t see the exit signs.

Anyone ever thought about glow in the dark arrows? Either paint or tape 9if they make such a thing)?

I am planning on making some arrows out of tape, hopefully somehow make it glow in tha dark, to help guide people around and thought maybe I could have 2 types of arrows, a guide and an emergency. Might confuse people though. Just a thought.

You could make sure that safety exit signs are placed higher than the walls of the maze, so that guests can easily find the way out, if they need to. Alternately, place the light up type where they would be easily visible, but have them set to come on only during an emergency, like when a fire alarm is pulled.
Its so nice to be insane, no one asks you to explain...

You need to look at local bullding laws.... I know the maze that i work for we NEED emg. doors before and after each room or so..... and yes they need to have signs on them and light..... the glow in the dark signs with a black light gives a good effect and adds safty. You also need fire ext. which can be covered by placing them out side the doors..... the walls need to be 8 ft and wide enoughf for a wheelchir to get through. Just rember the more accomadationg you are the more pep you will get. You also MUST MUST have emg lighting and a sprinkler system..... you need a way to tell people (a P.A.) what to do when a event happens, good idesa for them to stay still and have your actors help them. You then need a central location where you can gather you crew and gust to get a head count and make shure all is ok. You need to work out details with the town fd and pd as to what they would want, but this i hope is a good start.

    Happy haunting! and good luck
There's no earthly way of knowing Which direction we are going. There's no knowing where we're rowing
Or which way the river's flowing. Is it raining? Is it snowing? Is a hurricane a blowing?
