While checking out Kmart's site tonight I noticed that a few of the "scarier" items like a corpse hand, spider victim and animated skull grouping have the Disney label on them. I've seen Disney in the friendlier arena for a while now but think this is the first year I've noticed their name associated with the spookier side of props no less. If they are indeed exploring this route, I'm hoping we might see some unique things from them. Anyone know of any other stuff they are selling other than the above? Anyone been to Disneyland or Disney World lately and seen anything prop-wise in their store?

I'm not sure those items were actually intended to be labeled with Disney...
I'll be going to Dland in a couple weeks, and I'm more than willing to check, but I can tell you this much, Halloween at Disneyland is geared towards kids. This stuff doesn't generally fit in with the decor they usually sell for Halloween. How many days do I have left?

Great! if you don't see anything maybe you could ask someone there.
Disney did produce Tim Burton's The Nightmare Before Christmas, so maybe they are looking to capitalize on another segment of the holiday. The Kmart products do say they are all "new" so I'm willing to think (or hope) it's not a Kmart typo.

Yeah, but for Nightmare stuff Disney usually focus' on the elements that are not scary. I know you want to believe differently, but I've been a huge fan of disney for decades (been to Disneyland about 200 times), and have never seen anything of this nature. I can post pics from the park last year if it helps.. lol.

We did animal kingdom in March and I saw a jack skellington coffee mug which I was going to get later...and you know how that goes. Also there were expensive little Nightmare before Chrismas diorama's which were too small in my opinion for the money.

well what ever it was, the Kmart site no longer lists it. It's now an error page!

I betting it was a mistake as well and that it why it was removed from their site. KMart probably realized they were incorrectly using the Disney name and that is something you just don't do!
Although Disney has produced some seriously creepy zombie effects for Haunted Mansion and Pirates of the Caribbean movies, I've never seen them market anything other than cute kid friendly products for Halloween.Dear Sweet Leota, Beloved By All. In Regions Beyond Now But Having a Ball...

Maybe once the new "Haunted Mansion" movie comes out they will.
Supposed to be filled with "wall to wall running creeps."
I guess we will have to wait and see.....Wyatt Furr
