Just curious as to what everybody's plans are this year since Halloween is on a Sunday. I know down here in the "Bible Belt" a lot of people don't come out to trick or treat because its on a Sunday and in some areas they even try and designate Halloween on a Saturday again so they can still celebrate Halloween and trick or treat. I run a yard haunt and am trying to decide on running it Saturday and Sunday or just Sunday or just Saturday. Any ideas of suggestions??? Would love to hear what YOU'RE going to do as well. Thanks!

It's all up in the air here... I expected to get mauled last year with it being on a Saturday and it was pretty dead.

I'll be hosting our halloween party this year on saturday - simply because it's a better night to stay up late and celebrate. I'm looking forward to surprising my guests with something special at midnight to ring in halloween! And I will be prepared for TOTers on sunday, even though we don't get many in my neighborhood - it's a bit secluded. I say have fun all weekend - just try not to freak your neighbors out too badly!

I'm glad it's on a Sunday because it gives me Saturday for all the last-minute touches. In my area, there's never any effort to move Halloween, so no worries about that. If it's at all a worry, I'd say be prepared for TOTs on both days, because nothing's worse than being caught unprepared!

My numbers were down last year, which I attribute to it falling on Saturday and other conflicts. I'm expecting to rebound this year. We've always had good turnouts on Sunday. I also like having Saturday to finish setting up, test lighting, etc..

I'm about 120 miles east of you on I-20 Kenpilot. I dont know yet if there is going to be a push for it to changed to Saturday or not. I wish I had the ability to do it on both days but even though mine is only a small backyard haunt I need at least three or four to help and make it interesting. I already know I am probably going to be down one person and even though I have had a lot of people say, I will come and help I already know they will not. I take the week off before Halloween so I have plenty of time for set up no matter what.

I like having all weekend to get ready and set everything up! I just don't like it being Monday the next day...
