Yesterday the neighbor was trimming his giant willow tree. So, I sauntered over there and look what I got for the graveyard this year...

Yep I am always looking around here to find stuff like that. Great Job.

Ooooh, those are some great creepy branches! There's always some good branches that come down around here, so I look out for the nicely shaped ones. Several years ago I used part of a branch for a prop and put a sealer coating on it. Now it has actually become a household "tool." Since I'm a bit height challenged I use it to unlatch the pull down stairs of my attic, and then it has a little hook-like branch on it that I use to pull the stairs down to where I can reach them.

very cool and creepy, Terra, can't wait to see how you use them!
I have flying monkeys- and I'm not afraid to use them!

I always have to look around in early Oct to see who is trimming their trees. I always seem to luck out and find a neighbor or relative who has branches to get rid of. I like mine to still have some leaves on them, even if their dead. Those are great branches, nice and big. They will look very creepy in your haunt.

Too bad the leaves won't stay. Guess you know your project for next year... attaching LOTS of silk or plastic leaves?

Very cool! I can see those painted black and decorated (for inside too). I have to check my neighbors gardening activities a little more carefully this year..
I have a tree in our front yard that doesn't get a haircut until October 1st - and then it pretty much ends up all over the cemetery, through the fence, etc. Gives it that "buried in" look. I

Good idea Yubney! Sounds like a sweet project to tackle this winter. I just love the branches on the neighbor's willow...so contorted and twisty. Maybe I'll tack on garlands of silk willow leaves so they hang down and blow with the wind.
