We are getting one here ,opening the end of August.
Is is similar to "Michael's"?
Of course, will they have a great Halloween section?
or just more of the same as any other "craft" store?
Just curious.

To me, it's more of a craft store. They have ALOT of Christmas right now, because crafters have to have time to make their .. uh.. crafts. LOL
Rarely see anything I would use specifically for Halloween. But they have alot of Fall type merchandise. Of course, it's all over- priced. LOL
Not a bad store when I'm desperate and can't find exactly what I need anywhere else.
Plus, they have a lot of knick knack things for your home; frames, pictures, candles, greenery/ floral, art supplies, home accents, ribbon, flip flops, t shirts to print on, scrapbooking stuff, Paper mache stuff, chenille stems and pom poms, figurines, ornaments, pottery, baskets, glitter glue, wind chimes, glassware, gemstone embellishments, pillow forms, fabric, needle work stuff, construction foam, felt, etc..
and yes, it's kinda like Michaels.

From what I understand they are "christian" based so they dont do Halloween. The will have fall stuff and start Christmas in June or July but I have never seen Halloween stuff.

Hobby Lobby sucks IMP. Johnson724 got it right when he said they are a "christan" type store. They have harvest cutesie type stuff.
halloween is a super cool holiday.

I still go there for other stuff. Michaels is pretty much across the street so I can compare prices

Sorry I should probably list the pros about shopping at HL.
Pros:
Great fabric for any props. You can get on there site sometimes and print off cupons.
year round they seem to have crosses and other cemetary like stuff. Went inlast week and they had these vases that looked liked aged urns for 90% off. So it's not so bad just wish they had actuall halloween stuff.halloween is a super cool holiday.

Wyatt Furr, they have an online website so maybe that will give you a better picture:
Hobby Lobby
When you check out their Season tab they don't list Halloween, just Fall and Harvest. That said, I've seen people show pics of stuff that they have bought there that was nice, more like project stuff you can turn into halloween related items however.

Don't bother going there for anything Halloween because they don't stock any items. They do Fall foliage and all that but no Halloween. The argument that Christians don't celebrate Halloween is absurd, our church had a Halloween party when I was growing up.
