Sorry I post so much but I'm in the planning stages of this years haunt so I need to pick some brains.

Our theme is the haunted hotel and one of the rooms we are having is the elevator or "hellevator" (korny I know). I need some ideas for a scare inside that room. I'm going to do the whole blackout "oh know the power went out and the elevator is stuck I hope you're not claustrophobic" thing but I'm thinking after the lights go out perhaps we need a second scare because anyone who's been through a haunted house is going to expect a blackout.

What do you think about doing a second scare here? Is this a good or bad idea in your opinion? If you think it's a good idea what are some scares that I could do?

Thanks for letting me pick your brain!

    Yvonne

Maybe have someone come out of the roof tiles in the elevator after the power goes out. No one expects attacks from above.

Well we don't have ceiling tiles in our building but I may be able to construct some I'll have to look into it. It's not a real elevator it's just a room constructed to look like one and it will have a moving floor so it feels like an elevator ride.

It would be PERFECT for an elevator scare!!

(I remembered seeing it over on HauntProject.com, and bookmarked it because it was so awesome)

ewww bugs that might be a good idea. Don't know how to pull that off without using real bugs and I would prefer not to do that.

I was thinking of having the ceiling have one of those fabrics where it's see-through when a light is revealed from the other side, exposing a ghoul, like what the Haunted Mansion does in the stretching room.
