He's a little shrunken apple head off the old tree! Or a chip off the old haunted block...look what my son did...he's 7 years old and his teacher gave out stickers for the last day of summer school today and the stickers she gave my son were Halloween ones. She LOVES Halloween so we will keep her!
Anyway...he sat down and drew this picture. ETA: The ghosts along the middle and the tombstones to the ar right (the two stones and the one skull) are the stickers. The rest is my boy.Halloween in July! I love it! I can only hold my breath and hope that he will be pouring karo syrup blood on mannequin heads one day. Oh, by the way, those curved black lines coming out of the house are the screams of the people inside who saw the ghosts. (sob) My little darling!!!

That is just the sweetest thing ever!!! You definately have to keep that one
I have to say for a seven year old he has such detail with his drawings. I love the lines that represent screams LOL that is great!!
Linus: You've heard about fury and a woman scorned?
Charlie Brown: Yes, I guess I have.
Linus: Well that is nothing compared to the fury of a woman who has been cheated out of tricks or treats!

Thanks, ((LadyAlthea))! Thanks, Spookilicious mama...I know I've said this so I hope people aren't tired of hearing it but my son is autistic...he has severe speech delays and other delays...and we never thought he'd draw, actually. He never DID draw, not even straight lines, really, until about a year and a half ago. Then when he started, HOLY COW. He is soooooo good with art. Sometimes he draws in perspective...that sort of thing...he's a lovely kid.
Thanks, guys.

I did not know he was autistic. The picture is amazing for a seven year old, the fact that he didnt draw until just recently is not only amazing but inspiring. You have every reason to be proud, and us mom's totally understand being proud of your child so dont ever think we get tired of hearing it. I myself have often posted threads having nothing to do with anything other than I wanted to show how proud I was of one or both of my sons
I mentioned how I love the lines that represent screams but one of my favorite things in the pic is the little skelly he drew by the tombstones, that is just super cute

CaliforniaMelanie, Oh my goodness what a Sweetheart.
I am sooo happy for you and proud of him. He is learning so quickly. Now this is a piece of art that definitely needs to be framed.

As a cartonnist and an old art teacher, I must say he has some talent. How do I know? Look at the tombstones, one complete line all the way. He didn't stop or when out the line and the details on the skeletons bones. I have an autistic neice, so, I somewhat understand how it can be difficult. (She is the extreme level of autistic, almost animal behaviors is the only responce she can give.). Be proud.

Aww, thank you so much, you guys. I was sort of just kidding before about sniffling...but now I really am tearing up...LOL...OK, pulling myself together here...I just hung up his picture and I said, "ALL my Halloween friends think this is fantastic!" and he was thrilled and all jumping up and down even though he doesn't know who the hell my Halloween friends are, LOL.
Thanks a bunch...I really am so proud...and I love being able to connect with him in this way! I mean seriously, without my bringing it up (believe it or not), he's been asking to "go trickker treat, get candy!" since probably March. I ask him what he's going to be for Halloween and he says, "Spongebob!" He is so into it!
Yay!!!!!!!!!!! FINALLY...I have bred a partner in crime. (rubbing hands evilley together)
