This is something that has just recently struck a chord with me. I really like the artistic take on the Halloween season in this style. Does anyone here collect? If you do, do you display your art all year or just hang it during the season?

I collect vintage looking halloween stuff but i find it hard to find actual folk art. Do you know where I can buy? I'd love to start a collection

Well, TheBurningLeaf.com just spotlighted an artists who is going to be having a show here in a couple of months.

I also did an ebay search and found some other atists who sell their stuff as either prints or the original paintings. I just did a "halloween art" search.“Do you know the terror of he who falls asleep? To the very toes he is terrified, because the ground gives way under him, and the dream begins.”

This sounds awesome and well worth checkin out. You should look into those Icon books by Taschen, there small art books and they have one on halloween. Nothin to hang but really cool

I love those paintings! That artist has done a great job. I paint whenever I get a chance (which isn't often) and have started to do some Halloween work.

I know if you go to any calendar web site and look up primitive or folk art, they will have some good examples for the month of October. You can then Google the artist.
