Thread: OMG Halloween on Price is Right Today

I was flipping through channels today and landed on CBS's Price Is Right and everyone was dressed in costumes and the set was decorated with pumpkins, spiders and webs, tombstones and fog. Some of the game prizes were Grim Reapers, Bubble Fog Machines, boiling cauldrons....the contestants stood in front of upturned coffins with skulls on them. The text for the pricing was in a dripping blood font. The big final bidding was for the Grave Diggers Ball in NC, a trip to Salem, and a trip to London's haunted areas. The second prize was a home entertainment center with horror flicks, the big prize was a black funeral limo (car dressed up to be one)!! Unreal I thought I had fallen through the rabbit hole. From the promo of the Grave Diggers Ball I could see it said 2009, so the episode was a repeat. What a treat! Certainly helped put me in the halloween mood for today.

Man, that sounds so awesome! I wish I'd seen it!! I'm being subjected to Commando for the 47th time right now ...reckon my son is studying up to be Ahnold.

Those prizes were phenomenal! Oh, I'm green.

dang it, why cant we be a contestant on a show when prizes are up our alleys?

I know. I was shocked to see some of the items as prizes not just props on the show. Honestly, I think if Drew Carey weren't the host, this kind of show probably wouldn't have happened. He seems to love Halloween too and the Drew Carey Show did some really funny halloween episodes.

In all the years I watched the Price is Right as a kid, I never came close to seeing an episode that cool. What I wouldn't give to have won that orange w/black stripes Mustang to take one of the 'haunted' trips in.

Personally, I kept watching the set pieces that they created. Pretty neat!
