    Hey Guys,
So this year is going to be my 3rd year doing a small haunt for my Halloween party. This year I was thinking of having some kind of theme going on. The themes I was thinking are:
    1. Castle/Mid-Eval
    2. Horror Movies
    3. Hospital
    4. haunted Theater
    5. Haunted Barn (my haunt takes place in a barn)

These are some of my ideas, But I am stuck at what to do with them, even if it is just one room dedicated to that theme. Any one have any idea about themes, or props, anything at this point.

    Thanks,
    Jesse

I like castle/ Mid-EVIL > but also the haunted theater. Considering your doing a barn haunt, Im feeling more carnie style though, what do you think of that? Hay bales for seats, games with prizes, freak show area or weird things in jars display (2 headed animal, ect), fortune teller (can hire someone) or just have it setup with a prop.

A horror movie theme would be cool! Have each scare-achter as a different character in the movie (i.e., Jigsaw, Amanda, etc.) and have the haunt set up as in the movie, as close as possible.
    "I am not afraid."
"You WILL be. You WILL be!"

If the party takes place in a barn I would use that to your advantage and do the haunted barn theme.
Just a few ideas to incorporate: creaky planks, scarecrow's, pumpkinrot creatures, animal skeletons, spider webs, eyes glowing between barn boards, evil roosters, pop-ups in between hay bales, black cats, lots and lots of rats, scythes and sickles, ghost projections in the rafters, dangling/twitching victims of a cruel fate in the rafters. If you are into gore you could add a slaughter house.
When storage is a concearn, put your monster props under the kids beds.

put movie and barn together as in jeepers creepers now that's scary . you could even incorporate the murder game .. but the victims loose pieces of themselves and the creeper guy tries to get a whole new body by the end of the night. As your guest come in you could give them a part like eyes. mouth etc, and the one who is the creeper has to try and find out who has the parts

I am going to have actors, and maybe a few props. I just do it the one night of the halloween party, and I am only 16, so I don't have a bunch of money to spend on props, and the actors of just my friends dressed up lol
I am thinking about going with theater. I have been wanting to do this for a few years now, and I am thinking I can encorperate the barn theme somehow in it too.
This year I am going to take pictures of it and document it online, so other people can see what I have done.

maybe you could have some dress up as vampires putting on a vampire play. remember fright night, but it's not really a play, even though it is. and you could have your players freak people out by stalking around and jumping out at them.

If I had a barn I would run with a Arachnophobia theme. Lots of bodys wound up in webs and hanging from the rafters.

You know what? I dont think thats a spider...looks like a puppies face with legs. Photoshopped. Anyway a barn would be great for a spider theme.
