i realized not everyone is scared of clowns. But what I try to do is not have people dressed in clown makeup. I have people in crazy clown masks like the big top clown mask etc. So what im saying is that how do we get all people scared of clowns in any way? what do you think is most effective.

Trust me. Clowns are scary just standing there. Consider the fact that typical circus clowns look deformed and horrific, often with extremely high Jack Nicholson-esque wrinkled white-makeuped foreheads with enormous bulbous noses and eyes that just tend to look red next to the white makeup no matter what the wearer does to try to avoid that look, have freaky, overly-loud, bizarre voices, jump all around semi-hysterically, including lunging awkwardly and oddly toward viewers, and are always either screaming with laughter or screaming with phony crying (which is supposed to be funny, I think), and, well, there's not much you DO have to do beyond that.

Sorry...I probably wasn't a whole lot of help!

Clowns always seem to scare my patrons, but last year, I added a set of really scary teeth to my clown outfit and it scared the wee wee out of folks!!
Something unexpected from a clown would therefore be my guess. Fangs for teeth, a chainsaw, carrying a dead body, anything out of the norm.
Who truly knows what awaits us in the night?

Sometimes I think the nicer looking the clown, the scarier. The mystery of what's behind that makeup. They seem nice, but are they? The ones that look evil at least you know they are. It's the mystery of it all for me.

    Purely and simply evil

I did a clown theme last year and it was great! Really scared a lot of folks. I have the creature reacher clown costume and it scared even the adults! It's way funner to scarce the adults that the kids.
I had a few props dressed as clowns with weapons in there hands. And also had clown heads sticking out of the bushes. This year I have about 7-9 mannequins that will all be dressed as clowns. I may do a clown school where the bad clowns get punished, still working on that idea though.
When I tell people that I am having a clown theme they almost always say"clowns creep me out!" Have fun with it!
We all have it coming kid.

This would be too expensive, but you know what would be awesome to prep the patrons with a huge creep out factor before they got "ambushed" by the clown? Have them walk through an area filled with these...

Holy Moly. I'd have a hard time handling that with any dignity.
