I need a little help here, Halloween is just around the corner it seems like. My family doesn't celebrate it, so I can't decorate the yard as I would love to do. The only thing I can decorate is inside my bedroom. What are some good decorations for inside? I have candles, a black light and a strobe light, but I want to buy some props to put inside my bedroom. I'm not sure which ones to look up, I have a medium size room, I just want to buy a few to decorate the room a little bit. Please suggest things to me if you have any ideas.

I would start with stuff that wont take up floor space. Try Cheesecloth tea stained and torn and put that over your windows, hanging bats from the ceiling, maybe some paper-jointed skellies or scene setters for your walls. You could try Oriental Trading Company. They have some good cheap items all year round. Good Luck

That is so sad that you can't go all out.You can hang bats up-a good skeleton always works-you can hang spiders up.If you have a window you can also do one of those window clings like cats eyes.

What is your budget? and are you going for quality or quantity? Horror or strictly Halloween or both? If you can afford it, get yourself a lifesize prop and put it looking out your window. Shine a light on it from below and maybe someone will see it from outside. Play some sound FX. Maybe use some scene setters for temporary atmosphere.

I'm looking for anything really, I saw this creepy spooky eyes that you can put on the windows. I might put a black light below it. One thing I saw that I did like was a hang up ghost, and it was around 20 dollars at most. For inside my room I looked online and saw a lot of hanging up lights and things that will hang down. Is there any good sites to visit at? I've tried a few and saw a few items I liked but I'm looking for good jack o lantern string lights. Walgreens always had the best ones, but I can't seem to find them online anywhere.

I love the idea of putting something in your window with a shining light! LOVE IT!! I think that is the best if you can afford it. I also like the cheese cloth idea and the hanging bats. Oooh you can also put your speakers in your windows and blast some really spooky music on the evening of
Linus: You've heard about fury and a woman scorned?
Charlie Brown: Yes, I guess I have.
Linus: Well that is nothing compared to the fury of a woman who has been cheated out of tricks or treats!

I have really tall ceilings, I live in Florida, I'm going to have to get a tall ladder, lol. If it's too much trouble I might hang the bats on my door, so people will see them as they enter my room. I have a bunch of purple lights already in my room cause it's my favorite color. The window idea will probably be the biggest prop inside my room.

Beyond that I'm probably going to have lots of burning candles, I saw some dripping blood candles on this one web site, and I'll probably put spider webs in my window as well. So I think the black light will add effect to the spider web and the ghost in my window. Last year I didn't get to carve any jack o lanterns, so that's one thing I can't miss out on this year. I'm a very spiritual person, hence my user name, hehe. As for sound effects, I saw a lot of new ones that came out by midnight syndicate and Nox Arcana. Which cd's are better to get? Both of them look pretty good, I have been collecting a few of there cd's over the years and I'm not sure which one sounds spookier.

Depends on what you decide is your theme. Go to the Halloween Music part of this forum for some ideas on music. I love Midnight Syndicate and I play it while I clean house and stuff but I've used Nox Arcana in my haunt more. But these are just two of the many places to get sound. I've never used an entire CD though. I just pick and choose tracks or even parts of tracks and loop them in certain areas.
