Thread: Video camera selection

I'm looking for a video camera to use on the big night. I'm looking for one that will suite my needs. What do you guys have and how much did you pay for it. A round about price. I am looking for a somewhat inexpensive but name brand, for low light/night time shooting. I am sure we all understand my needs as most of you have been down this road. I am looking to spend about $300, does that sound correct. I have seen a few at that price but not sure how well they will do, even though they say low light shooting. I used one years ago but was not satisfied with the results. But that was years before low light capablities. I would appreciate your input. Thank you.

I have a sony handycam, with nightshot. It did well for me last year. When I remembered to use it! lol.It was around the $250. mark I think.
