Pirates!

when i think of traditional Halloween, something that never goes out of style, pirates immediately come to mind...

so imagine my surprise when driving down my towns main road i spotted this little gem! i was so impressed i had to go back today, camera in hand and grab some pics. as you can see, my son (who is 17) liked it too!

i took lots of detail pics, so if anyone wants to make one for themselves, it would be easy to do <---hint hint, to my hubby

think of the possibilities, though... you could use it in a haunt scene, and then use it as storage with the simple addition of doors and shutters on the portholes! win-win!

I am looking at building something just like that for my future haunts....We will eventually be moving to another state and out in the country, so ToT's will be few and far between. I hear that the nearby town has a parade around Halloween and I am thinking this would be great to build on a flatbed trailer and use it as a float.

that-is-awesome. in the summer it would make a nice playhouse. i wonder if it is a pattern? in the winter, good place to store the summer put aways. oh, nice looking young man there.

OMG i want one as a playhouse, too! think of it... a fog machine... blue lights... a cannon booming. Josh said if we build one, he wants to use a telephone pole as the mast-that way we can hang tattered sails and have a ladder to a crows nest.

and in the off season it would hold dozens and dozens of totes full of halloween props...

i'm in love with a pirate ship!
