Our Haunted house is located in the center of town. We divide it into 7 - 16x20 feet rooms. Our group of people each take a room and do their own theme. My theme this year will be a cornfield theme similar to pumkinrots------ ( http://www.pumpkinrot.com/index2.htm )
Here is how I have decided to layout our room. Not showing in the plan will be orange lighting and a net hanging above the main walkway to make them feel more confined or trapped.

That sounds like a great idea. The town must really be into Halloween.

It looks great. Love the orange lights mixing with the fog. Will "Scott" and "hidden person" be able to reach htorugh the corn/wall and unsuspectingly be able to reach for people or will they just scare by jumping out at people?
If you need programmable yellowy/orange LED light Christmas style light strands this is who I buy from over ebay. Shipping takes a few weeks to Canada but this is much cheaper for me to purchase this way than buying them locally.

I've bought 14 sets so far and I've been very happy.
Love the set-up....Good luckWhen storage is a concearn, put your monster props under the kids beds.

Thanks Doto,
I ordered a set just to see how good they are for that price! If I like them, I'll get more.Home designer from Church Point Louisiana.

i went to Knott's scary farm a few years back and they had an awesome corn theme for one of their mazes. probably the most memorable part for me was a scarecrow actor they had positioned on the ground in a corner that looked like its legs had been removed. As you walk by he would reach out and grab at your legs. the thing is, i was so convinced by the actor that it may very well have been someone with no legs.
i think that would be awesome right next to your "old pot on tripod"
i was so inspired by the setup that im actually gonna use in my own haunt this year except as a zombie instead of a scarecrow.

Looks like a great layout! I loved pr's theme from last year. That's cool that the whole town is in agreement with Halloween

Great set-up! Would make the mfeel ike the yare in Children of the Corn, I think. I would definately place someone, or something, in the middle of the floor where you have the big space; in front of the pneumatic scarecrow... for them to trip over.. maybe something soft or making squashy noises, something fluid dripping out of it.. Or too gory?
And you definately need a scythe!!! Maybe with a pumkin hanging from it, with a light in it??
