Seems like the majority of participants on this site are from either the Northeast or East Coast. I feel kind of like the sole survivor. Anybody else out there from Texas?![]()

Howdy!

There are plenty of Texas haunters on here.
I even think several regulars are in your area.

Glad to hear it! This is one reason why this site is so great. It allows you to locate other Halloween enthusiasts in your area who are familiar with the difficulties in building a haunt in Texas due to the unpredictable weather and offer helpful suggestions. As you know, it's not unusal to have temperatures in the 90's during October, which makes working a haunt in costume somewhat uncomfortable. I remember one year we actually had to use portable fans in the haunt to keep the air moving, and the very next year the temperature was in the 50's for Halloween! No that it ever stops us for moving forward with our plans for the TOTs.

I know what you mean about the mosquitoes. Do they ever really go away? I'm in the North Dallas area near 635. Not too many people decorate in my area, other than maybe a jackolantern or two, so it's probably not surprising that our house gets a lot of TOTs. We definitely go all out.
Zombiefrac, do you get many TOTs in your area? We've been camping out there, and it seemed pretty rural.

Well if y'all want we'll let you into Oklahoma... but just for Halloween.

What doesn't kill you can still make you walk funny.
