I know there have been tons of threads on here with a salute significant others in regard to our Halloween obsession. I'd like to add one more - feel free to share yours!
My fellow, while he often complains miserably and constantly about the halloween setup and required work - generally participates as I request. However - yesterday - out of the blue, he had to put some cardboard out into the cardboard recycling bin. It took him a while, and when I was about to ask why, he looked at me all excited and pulled out his blackberry to show me a picture and said - "do you think this would make a good halloween prop"?
My eyes almost fell out of my head! It was just a really large and well done skelly pic all on a black background. Just the fact that he'd bother to notice before his "dreaded October" impressed me!
I think he's a keeper!
Go on - share yours!

My Wife... –

Was searching the inter net for a good haunted house to take her brother to.
She saw my website and flipped out!
She called me, we talked for a long time on the phone.
I was impressed but assumed she was maybe within10 or 15 yrs. of my age, happilly married, family, she sounded so nice, pleasant, mature, interesting, she just had to be all of these things.
We talked more. She came to take the tour, I didn't know it was "her", but she sure had alot of fun here and stuck out in my mind during her tour.
We have been together now 9 years, married too.
She once costumed herself as "pin Head" painstakingly installing it all herself on herself!
The pictures are impressive! She has been collecting Halloween things for many years before we met. She worked in a haunt once. She grew up with her Dad as the main parent and has a definately "male" sense of humor.(Which is nice since I do too!)
She is excellant at handling people and customers which frees me to be the scary guy. She also handles the October help, which frees me even more!
All of her personal stuff I assumed from our first conversation was wrong, of course she assumed that the goofy guy she was talking with had to be alot closer to her age, we both guessed wrong concerning our approximate ages, I'm 112 and she's only 12..hahahahh!
No but there is a definate difference in our years but not our intrests or mentality.
The old saying about opposites attracting might be true for a very short while but for the long run give me someone who shares my common intrests, ex cetra."My Insanity is well-respected, until they wiggle free and become a stringer for a tabloid"

Awww, how sweet! Mine isn't into the whole thing either but he always gives me his whole day on Halloween to help where ever I need it. Plus, he lets me dress him up:
I love him SO!

Wow - great stories!!!
Terra....with costumes like that - who would want to say no??? Nice work!!!!
halloween71 - you crack me up
too cute!
Gym - that is one sweet story - I agree....it's nice to have something really special in common!
Hallorenescene - it was discarded packaging for something very large, but didn't have any lettering on it - just a skeleton on black. It looked cool in the pics - but was gone when we went back to take it....obviously someone else had the same idea :P
