Thread: Thinking of making a short video of Salem MA visit??

Hi everyone,
I'm planning a trip to salem ma. I was thinking of making a couple short videos and adding them to my site. I was wondering if anyone had done anything like that before and how they did it? Youtube?? Flicker??? or just an vid file on your site??

I dont have any videos online... but would love to see yours when it is done...

A hosting site like Youtube is generally a good solution, and doesn't suck up your bandwidth. There are a number of tutorials out there (like this one), if this is your first time putting video on your webpage. Good luck to ya!

I use YouTube to host any videos I put on my website of animated products - works great. I just went to Salem this past Saturday... always a fun time! What do you plan to video? I know some places don't allow videotaping inside. I went to the Witch's Dungeon museum and you could take all the photos you wanted, but no video. In those cases you could probably take a bunch of photos and make like a slideshow type video.

Tidbit of info I learned this weekend at the Witch's Dungeon... way back in the day the town filled in the dungeon that was used to hold those accused of being witches while they awaited trial. In the 1950's it was accidentally found by New England Telephone digging for a new building. But can you believe instead of preserving it, it was dismantled and several museums got a piece! At the Witch's Dungeon they have a big wooden beam from there. It is now over 350 years old. I was so excited by this piece of spooky history that I had my friend take a photo of me touching it. That alone made the $8 admission worth it!

I, too, went to Salem for my honeymoon. We did not take any video, but we did take a ton of pics. Some of which are posted here.

I went to Salem 4 years ago and i went in October for thier haunted happenings. What a great time i had. I really like that city also, theres just something about it. Massachusetts is a beautiful state also and i hope i can go back there again one day.

Please do!!! Youtube seems to be a video site that has it together, I haven't heard negative things about uploading or viewing.
