I'm looking for tight weaved burlap to make some scarecrow masks for this years "haunted cornfield" theme. I bought some burlap sacks off of ebay, but when I cut them and tried to sew the pieces together, the sacks were so loosly woven, they want to fall apart. Any ideas? Thanks!!

Most big fabric stores like Jo-Anne's fabrics have all kinds and colors of burlap.

I'm doing the same thing and got mine at Hobby Lobby cheap enough. They also had 3 or 4 colors to chose from.

OH and forgot what will help with the unravel is to pre-seam them somehow. Tight or lose burlap will come apart, so what I do is put a little latex at where I'm going to cut to lock the weave in place.
