Thread: Rename my haunt!

This year Pride, Greed, Sloth, Envy, Gluttony, Lust, and Wrath will be making their appearance at my Halloween display. Unlike the usual dour, moralizing depiction, my dead people are going to be having a wicked good time with no judgment in sight. I've been referring to it as the Seven Deadly (Cardinal) Sins but I feel like something more clever is in order. The Seven Cardinal Pleasures sounds like the title of a manual or a porno. Although everyone's having fun, even I can't quite label their behavior as virtues.

Creative minds, I need your help!

The Fallen Festival?

It's a tricky one...

I like the seven deadly sins(I have never heard of a haunt with that name).I agree with the cardinal part it does sound pornish.
I also like spats Depraved delights.

Whether or not I use the name this year, I simply must do a "Festival of the Fallen" some day! Doing a little digging is finding some interesting associations between fallen angels and the 7 deadlies. (Some of which I knew, some of which I probably should have by now). Lucifer was going to be the central figure in the display, so the title might just work for this year ... but keep the ideas coming, folks!

I would go with the simple "Seven Deadly Sins" to quickly communicate the background of the haunt. But in the signage, I would suggest using a black serif font (such as Copperplate) for "Seven" and "Sins", and then render "Deadly" in red blood drawn font (such as Chiller or Halloween).

Well I seem to remember the SDS being mentioned in both the Captain Marvel comics and the Anime Series Fullmetal Alchemist. So I did a lisle resarch and brainstorming and came up with the following:

From Shazam/Captain Marvel:

Rock of Eternity (The Wizard Shazam's place)

Shadowpact (not sure who or what they are, but sounds ominous, don't it?)

From FMA:

homunculi (the franenstein-like creatures with te names of the SDS)

Dante (leader of the homunculi)

Thule Society (some group in the FMA movie which I never saw)

Amestris (name of the continent in the world of FMA, as to how it's pronounced, don't ask)

Ishball (eastern country of the Amestris continent where Scar hail;s from)

Shamballa (religion in Ishball preaches that alchemy is an aboination)

how about just moving the words around and saying -deadly 7 sins- or 7 fallen virtues-tales of 7 sins-
