I feel like I'm betraying Halloween. I have several items I have never used in my haunt so we are selling them in our garage sale. Does anyone else think this is wrong ?

Heck no. If it's not being used, let someone else have a crack at it. We've sold off some stuff at garage sales in the past. Price it accordingly though and don't be insulted for taking an offer.

If it doesn't fit your haunt, it will fit someone else's...who knows maybe your extras will be the next items someone is proud to show off as their new garage sale stash...
When storage is a concearn, put your monster props under the kids beds.

sell it. i've been thinking of ridding of some stuff too. way to much stuff. would help pay towards this years needs. was purchased for that years needs. and then there is always the stuff people give you that's just not your taste.

I agree with Sidnami! It might be worth posting what you are putting up for sale here for those of us always on the lookout for H-goods!

I sold a few things last year at our garage sale. It was funny because it was people on our neighborhood who bought it and were very excited to pick something up from "the Halloween people". We have a bunch of stuff that hasn't been used in a few years and I don't care to "re-purpose" that'll probably make it into the garage sale this year...

Sell sell sell, Though, I would like to see what you have too. If you can make another person's Halloween better, and make a little money on it.....right on man!
Think of it like this,..you're spreading the Halloween cheer!

I'm putting a ton of stuff in this years garage sale. It allows me to get some money to put towards new purchases for this year and it also frees up storage space that i need so badly. And if i can spread some halloween love to others in my neighborhood, it's a win win. People have already started decorating more since we moved in, so i'm hoping this will encourage more.

Nope, not wrong at all. I put some stuff in in our one and only yard sale for the exact same reason.
They were some of the light up window figure shapes and some cheapy decor that I've had for years... not my style anymore.
