It was funny that after Christmas, we packed all our Christmas decors (and we are one of the most decorated house on our street too) and we start packing it in the basement for next year. After a minutes, my wife ask out loud "Only THAT???". We realised we have almost 10 times more Halloween decoration that Christmas. We do decorat well for Christmas too... but it's shocking how you don't notice until it seen in perpevtive how much stuff you have. We love Christmas, but obviously, we are Halloween freaks first, the Christmas lovers second.

Christmas boxes : 9 boxes, and a artificial tree

Halloween boxes : about 20-25, and a pile of tomstones.

    Easter/ThanksGiving : .5 of a boxe

    What are your ratios?

Much more Halloween. Al of our Christmas (except for the tree) fits onto a 4 shelf unit. Our Halloween fills four 4-shelve units, plus the entire back wall of a 2 car garage (life size props) plus a 10 ft x 10 ft area filled with everything from a barber chaior and camo material to a coffin and mad scientist control panel. And that doenst count the costumes upstairs in the closet...

Most of our Halloween stuff is stored in a 10' X 6' walk-in closet, but the larger or bulkier items like tombstones and foamboard walls are stored out in our storage shed. All of our Christmas decorations (except for the animated deer) fit in a regular storage closet. I mean, come on. How much room do 30,000 twinkle lights really take up??

Way, way, way more Halloween!! And we do a pretty elaborate set up for Christmas by most peoples standards...and then I look at the Halloween amount and it makes me go I keep thinking I need to part with some stuff, the more cutesy type things that people have given me over the years, but for some reason I cant seem to do it! I will have to take a pic of it all to post. Thankfully we have a 600 sq foot attic above our garage that is off a bedroom so there is plenty of room for it all!

I like this thread osenator! As for me, I have (2) 10'X12' Storage buildings. Here is the ratio:

    Halloween: 75% of space
    Christmas: 25% of space

And for storage in the house, 100% Halloween. And that's not counting my "Monster Room" that has my life-size props displayed year round (I have a few pics of it in my album).

I don't have any Christmas Stuff.....But my wife has a boat load. Unfortunately hers takes up most of the "available" space and my Halloween props get the nook and crannies and crawl spaces which are still available.

I feel as if I am letting my team down - Christmas 65% Halloween 35%.

(Please don't disown me I actually have a lot, but Christmas decorations for 4 trees, is just the start of the Christmas stuff)
When storage is a concearn, put your monster props under the kids beds.

Well I have a basement stuffed with Christmas and an outbuilding packed with Hallloween. Its tough to measure I have the whole cemetary a witch, reaper, coffin, electric chair, pumpkins, skeles, 8 giant spiders, 3 giant webs and all the little stuff that make it spooky and I have loads of Christmas decor 13 blowmolds, 50 plus candy canes, 10 other yard decor items and about 14000 lights in the display.
