Thread: A room idea for a Haunt

So I saw something on tv the other night, I don't even remember what it was, but it did inspire me. I know it had something to do with mirrors, because we that's what my idea is about.

Basically this can be a small or medium sized room, that is dimly lit, enough to be able to see what's in front of you. You enter through what you think is a door, but when it has been shut there is no door handle on your side and it looks like a mirror on the wall. Then you notice that there are more mirrors, in fact every inch of the room is covered with mirrors, for the most part I'm just thinking walls, though you could go to the ceiling and floor I suppose. Now most of these are normal mirrors. But then some of them are two way, so when a light turns on behind them you see and image with your own, you have to find the right balance. Also you could project on some, or have a banger prop behind one. Also you notice there is no door out, you look everywhere but you can't find the door.

Eventually depending on if you're creeping people out or trying to scare them, you turn the lights on behind a full length mirror, that reveals a hall behind it. You could mess with them further and put and actor in there. Just an idea.

Now when you say mirrors covering every inch of the walls...do you mean
just the mirror or a mirror in some kind of frame? I think mirror AND frames of different sizes would be cool. You could find mirrors and frames at garage sales all summer for your idea.

Oh yeah all different sizes some ornate, some plain, I just want it to be a creepy mirror room, you could throw in some fun house mirrors for fun. I don't know if it something I will ever do, but I love putting ideas out here on the forum and seeing where everyone takes them.
